Hi, I realize the inconvenience you are experiencing with using your Headset on your PC running Windows 7. I will certainly help you with the issue. Install any pending Windows updates on the pc to check if that helps. Updates are additions to software that can help prevent or fix problems, improve how your computer works, or enhance your computing experience. Plug in the headphone into another pc to check if the headphone work on that pc. Plug in a different headphone into this PC to check if the issue persists.

If the issue Persist follow the Method: Method 1: Let’s run the Audio Troubleshooter referring to the link mentioned below and check if it works: Method 2: Hardware troubleshooting while plugging in the device. • Open Device Manager in Control panel.

The Sony SBH20 does not come with Windows drivers. If OP wants to use it with a Windows desktop or laptop, it won't work. Works fine on OS X and all mobile phones I used.

• Open Device Manager • Select Sound Driver • Right click the specific driver and then click Uninstall • Restart the computer and it will try to automatically installed the generic Driver If that doesn’t work, Download the Sound driver from manufacture websites and install it. Method 3: Set the Headphone as default 1. On the start screen of windows 8.1 press the ‘Windows key + X’ key on the keyboard and then click on control panel and then Hardware and sound option. Click in Sound, then a new window will open up. In the new windows click on the tab 'Playback' and right click in the window and click on Show Disabled devices.

Now check if headphones are listed there and right click on it and choose enable. Highlight that headphones and click on 'Set as Default'. Method 4: We can also try disabling optional speaker effects that are also known as enhancements and check If it works. Follow the steps mentioned below: • Open Audio Devices and Sound Themes by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Hardware and Sound, and then clicking Sound. • On the Playback tab, click Speakers, and then click Properties. I had issues connecting the Sony SBH20 bluetooth headphones to a Lenovo x230 Windows 7 machine. The device would pair with Windows but would not appear in the Playback Devices or Recording Devices. The solution for me seemed to be right-clicking the bluetooth device, going to the Bluetooth Services tab, and un-checking all the services except Hands-free Telephony and Headset. It seems that other Bluetooth services being turned on, which the device doesn't support - interferes with the services that it does support.
